Farewell...Master Rapper...

1964 - 2009

Francis Magalona born October 4, 1964. also known as FrancisM, Master Rapper, and The Man From Manila, was a prominent Filipino rapper, songwriter, producer, actor, director, and photographer. He is also credited as being the first Filipino rapper in the Philippines to successfully crossover to the mainstream. He was also popularly known as the "King of Pinoy Rap" and was considered one of the most idolized, celebrated and influential rappers within the genre.A sibling of nine brothers and sisters, Francis Magalona was the son of late Philippine movie screen legends Pancho Magalona and Tita Duran. The late Senator Enrique Magalona was his grandfather and his late grandmother was a faith healer named Pauliene.Married to Pia Arroyo, they have eight children: Unna, Nicolo, Francis Jr., Elmo, Arkin, Clara, and actresses Maxene and Saab. He also joined the fraternity Alpha Kappa Rho in the 1980s.Magalona, 43, was diagnosed on August 8, 2008, with leukemia at the Medical City Hospital, Pasig. He appealed for privacy. I dont want a media circus. I want privacy with my family. What Id rather talk about is how we can solicit blood donations to replace the supply that I have consumed in the hospital. It was very gradual, hindi siya biglaang lumabas (it did not come out so suddenly). We dont want to use the word curable, but the doctors say its treatable. —Pia Arroyo-Magalona, Francis wifeAfter his treatment and discharge, he made his return on Eat Bulaga together with Ely Buendia, who was also recently discharged. On March 6, 2009, it was reported that Francis Magalona succumbed to acute myelogenous leukemia at 12:00 noon that day, a few days after his fourth chemotherapy session and a few days before his supposed stem cell transplant. The announcement was first made on the variety show Eat Bulaga! where he served as a host prior to his health problems. A short tribute to the artist was aired after the announcement. A minute of prayer was also observed in remembrance of Mr. Magalona in the noontime TV show EAT BULAGA .

The Ecsentric...

The one and only eccentric hip-hop dance crew in the wicked south! heck, maybe even in the entire National Capital Region!

Originally "excentric",the group was formed Sep. 1, 2007 for a competition called SouthVIBE that was held at Southville Int'l School & Colleges (SISC) under the supervision of Christian Sekhanan as artistic director. consisting of purely college students at the time, the group faced many difficulties in terms of synchronicity. this was due to the fact that the dance style introduced by Christian wasn't easy, in addition to that it wasn't very well known.

the members that comprised the original 8 members of excentric were either new to the style, new to hip hop, or new to dance itself. this being the case the group still pushed on and eventually making it to the finals alongside Intensity crew (now known as Flipendemic kru) and Southside New Breed. in the end excentric crew lost the competition but debuted as one of the most original crews south-bred.

as excentric evolved to eCSentric, so did the style. Originally a bay style/ LA style group, the foundation-less style situated by Christian also evolved from his West Coast roots to a now seemingly interpretative hip hop. no more LA style musicality, no more predictable Bay style movements, no more lyrical hip hop. When the crew witnessed Christian's eccentric choice of musicality, unothodox movements, and story-telling styles the crew realized by themselves that "oh no! eCSentric is becoming eccentric" and true to that prediction eCSentric in fact followed that change.

eCSentric members are not picked based on their dancing prowess but on their understanding of the eCSentric style and philosophy.

we are a philosophy based crew. something that alot of people don't know about us is that everything we do artistically and professionally is based on the philosophy of eCSentric. we refuse to follow the hip hop format by choice, we are not here to show you all the styles we can do neither are we here to show you things you think looks good. "eCSentric" is not a name for us, it is a lifestyle. we are neither "crack-pots" nor "fish-out-of-water", we strive for universality and if we have to give up following the criteria of "hip hop crews" or the street credibility to achieve that then it's a price we are all willing to pay gladly.

Our members understand that people won't readily understand us and although they are free to indulge themselves in as many styles as they want to learn, once we represent the crew we dance under the philosophy of eCSentric. call us a cult, call us a gimmick, call us a bunch of weirdos we have no qualms about whatever we're called.

hate all you want. we don't dance to impress or express.

The G. Blaze Dancers...

G.Blaze Dancers started along with MX Version Dance Crew as A'Teens Dancers (male and female group). For some reasons, the group separated on 2005 and that was when the G.Blaze was born as an all female dance group composed primarily with 5 members on September 22, 2005.

The group also performs inside and outside the city: Camiguin Island, Dipolog City, Butuan City and Pagadian City.

Recently, the group is awarded as the Most Admired Female Dance Crew in Northern Mindanao by the Philippine Marketing Association.

Tagged as the Newest No. 1 Female Dancers in Northern Mindanao in 2008 and 2009, Cagayan de Oro Talent Center's Flagbearer and Cagayan de Oro's Hottest Teen Sensation for 2009.

Currently the group is managed by Gabby Bacarro under Cagayan de Oro Talent Center and the Official Dancers of Max's Restaurant, Wild FM and GK-1MB Misamis Oriental.

Despite of the connection with MX Version, the group chose to be independent, struggling for more opportunities and to pursue each one's dreams for the group and to the other girls, making everyone see that GIRLS CAN ALSO RULE THE DANCEFLOOR!

The Addlib...

Life is one big show and in like any other performance piece, you have your choreography, that which is deliberately taught to a dancer for him/her to execute... and then there are these little parts we call adlib, wherein the dancer him/herself is free to express his/her own style and personality.

WE are dancers with day-jobs, schools, and other life activities which we consider our choreography. We are given tasks, we execute, we deliver.. that doesn't

mean we're not happy being told to do things. Just like dance choreography, we run them with all we've got.. PERFORMANCE LEVEL! Complete with

projection and most definitely from our hearts.

...and the little time we share, our short but sweet 5678s, we offer to each other and our passion.

THIS is our ADDLIB.

The New X People...
